Who do y'all have for sleepers this year? Currently running McCann and Puljujarvi in fantasy and I'm pleased with how they've done so far, keeping an eye on Garland/Sharangovich to see if they breakout (solid starts for those two). Other potential sleepers I identified were N. Ritchie, P. Suter, Joseph, and Kotkaniemi, but they haven't done much yet. Tippett and Tolvanen have been recommended to me too, especially Tippett if he can stick on the 2nd line. What do you guys think?

Hoglander's a good one, I just saw he got moved to top line RW (although Boeser might be back tomorrow). I had him in mind going into the year, but kinda discounted him after seeing him start on the 3rd line (like the Canucks debuted with Chiasson on the 1st line over Hoglander, Garland, Podkolzin, etc. lol). I'd like to see him at 2LW with BoHo and Garland once Boeser is back, but if he gets bumped down to the 3rd line again by Pearson I'm not sure how high his upside will be this year (assuming no injuries).

If you could buy a jersey of a player not from your favorite team, who would it be?

Hoglander is arguably their best play driver and he’s a pest, I think he’ll secure a spot in the top 6 soon enough. But it’s the Canucks so who knows lol

Roslovic is another good one, maybe Wahlstrom if Trotz starts giving Pageau’s line 2nd line minutes.

This is a good list! I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Verhaeghe though, I thought that was mostly Barkov lol, but if he sticks there I guess that's a moot point. Roslovic's a good one if he claims 1C between Voracek and Laine, but Columbus's offensive depth falls off hard after that (Bjorkstrand is good, everyone else is mediocre at best or young and unproven). Forsling's more of a defensive guy isn't he? I hadn't heard much about Tkachev but he looks decent so far too. Bunting was another guy I wanted to call a sleeper but then he was projected as starting on the 4th line lol, if he gets time in the top 6 he's worth a grab though for sure.

Since I already own a Stamkos jersey, I want a Mark Stone jersey so bad lol. I'm trying to buy a reverse retro M. Tkachuk jersey but it's hard (I was given it as a gift last year so I didn't buy it for myself, but my dad bought a youth large instead of adult large lmao and they were sold out by then). Probably going to pick up a Batherson jersey at some point now that he's signed for 6 years (I love B. Tkachuk as well but I think it'd be weird to have two Tkachuk jerseys lol).

M. Tkachuk is one of my favorite non-Habs players so he's an interesting one. Other choices are Golden Shea Theodore and Reverse Retro Makar.

Forsling is more offense-oriented so far in FLA. I would have taken him in my keeper wasn't it for lack of cap space and other priorities.

Haven't seen it mentioned much, but assuming Kucherov is out an extended period of time, he is very likely to miss the Olympics. The ironic thing is most of the ROC's expected superstars (Ovi, Kuznetsov, Orlov, Vasy, and Sergachev) were all on hand to see their medal/gold chances decrease.

I just read an article from SB Nation entitled “Bold Predictions for the 2021-2022 Season” written by someone named Mark Abell who says (1) Bowen Byram will be one of the top 5 scoring defensemen this year, (2) Darcy “Keumper” (spelled that way twice) will lead the NHL in shutouts, and (3) “Austin Eckblad” will win the Norris Trophy.

This is why I pay so little attention to "pundits." I'm still laughing at the Pierre LeBrun article titled "Eichel Talks Heating up" -- dateline, June 18.
