Him not asking for a trade shows a good bit of class. Seems like the type of team first personality I would want in a locker room, and I hope he gets rewarded for it.

Not wanting to report, to me, is throwing a tantrum. You're, you know, a hockey player, so report and play and prove to your organization that they made a grave mistake and then you'll have 100% of the leverage when it'll come to negotiating your next contract

I disagree - I just think it’s using the only leverage he has. The longer this goes on, his trade value decreases. This isn’t new with the Rangers,there always seems to be friction between the organization and young forwards

I was able to watch a bit of it today, and I have to say it felt like they leaned on Gretzky a bit too hard. Him and Bissonette both seemed a bit uncomfortable but I think that should (Hopefully) fix itself.

Barkley is great though, I hope they keep bringing him back occasionally.

I got that vibe. If anything it’s probably first show nerves and also the Gretzky atmosphere maybe took a few guys back with that added to the first show. And I’d assume they wanted to get it all out of the way (talk about Gretzky cause he doesn’t want to be the key fixture all year). So I enjoyed while imo, understanding the situation. I think they just needed to get it over with you feel me?

Yeah, gotcha. Makes sense, but I really wasn't expecting it for the first broadcast just because they want to make a good impression, but if it works then so be it. I just expected them to get it over with after a couple games so people don't get off on the wrong foot with TNT, but looking at the reactions it was generally positive so no harm no foul.

Jeff Marek has a rule change idea that I think is super cool. I would endorse it.

Penalty Kills aren’t “Killed” - THEREFORE;

Rule Change:
- If the short handed team killing the penalty scores a short handed goal, THE PENALTY ENDS. Boom, player comes out of the box and momentum is shifted incredibly. Meaning you truly are killing penalties. If you score short handed you get your man back (minor penalties only obviously).
