Only way you do Rielly for a winger straight up is if its someone in superstar caliber or at least above Rakell level.

Anaheim should only be trading Rakell for likely productive futures (i.e., not a rental and a bottom-6 leftie forward, which is practically our entire roster).

Timeout Leafs are actually thinking of putting Ritchie at 1LW? I thought that was a joke, but its for real? Yikes! By the end of his time in Boston he was a 4th liner that was a non-factor most nights. He'll have a hard time keeping up with Matthews and Marner.

Strange as it may seem, the Leafs have excess LD, have a Rielly replacement in Sandin already on the roster, switching Vatanen and Brodie into the 1RD and 3RD is quite irrelevant - whoever has the better chemistry with Sandin/Muzzin - that will determine the pairings. As weird as it sounds the Leafs DO INDEED need help on the top 2 lines. I cannot STAND the idea of Ritchie being in the top 6, but, eceryone complains that there isn't enough "sandpaper"/"grit" in the top 6 so that is why Ritchie is there.
