Seattle didn't select Kerfoot when he was exposed. Seattle didn't select Dermott when he was exposed. If they didn't want them for free they're not trading for them...

Why do people keep saying this? They weren't selected because they weren't the best player available to them.

Do I need to add that the Ottawa trade is not even close and actually counter productive.

The only Leafs player I'd trade Chabot for is Auston Matthews. Tkachuk, probably the same. Or Marner with 2 M$ retention

C'mon now is 20 man roster with just over 1m in cap space reasonable?
Poor trade for the Leafs with Seattle.
The usual...can't make a good trade, make it with a UFA extension.
No cap cheating taxi squad this season,
