Imagine trading the Vezina winning goalie for 7 million in Cap.

Fleury will likely regress considering his age and his usual level of play during his career + VGK needed cap space.

What exactly makes you think the Canucks would accept that?

He was average to below average 3 of the previous 4 years before last year. I’d say last year was more of an anomaly. That 7m in cap space was far more valuable to them than a 36 year old goalie. Especially considering they are still over the cap and have another #1 on the roster, younger, better contract. 🤷🏻‍♂️

All goalies are inconsistent. It’s the nature of the position. But he’s been pretty solid since leaving Buffalo.

BOS deal just doesn't make much sense for B's. Don't have the $$$ and the value/fit is off - Goalie is set for them. I would assume Swayman is pretty close to untouchable at this point.

I agree with all the comments I quoted that say this isn’t gonna happen. I know it’s not gonna happen that’s why I said it was unrealistic in the description. I just think it would be cool if it did happen.

This is my biggest pet peeve with CapFriendly. Yes the idea of the Canucks trading Pettersson is unrealistic but the trade you make should still be somewhat fair. You can't just make a terrible trade and then use the excuse that you said it was unrealistic in the description
