Logan Brown a signé un contrat de 1 ans d'une valeur de 750 000 $ avec les Sénateurs d'Ottawa, le 18 sept. 2021. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 750 000 $.
Probably no deal out there for Sens. They don't need to move him, and it makes sense for him to be there for camp. He's not a bum, and he's definitely got a shot at the opening night roster if he works hard and has a good attitude.

Given his history with us, I think having a good attitude by sticking it out for a 6th season in Ottawa is a bit of a stretch for him.
Wasn’t Brown wanting out and holding out? So why sign a 2 way deal?
He becomes more valuable if he is waived and is in the ahl making ahl money, probably no trade market for him so if he doesn’t make the team is on waivers, him being in the ahl would add trade value for another team not wasting a roster spot on him in the nhl
If he plays for Ottawa, then this is a great deal. If he's claimed off waivers... That would suck for the team, so they are counting on him to play up to his potential and then trade him, I guess.
Not an OTT fan or anything here, but really want to know - has this guy just not panned out, or has OTT done something to stunt his development?
He has struggled with staying health since he was drafted. Injured in junior two years in row, left wjc injured, injured in the AHL the last couple of years. He has hand and wrist injuries', back problems, I think some knee or leg issues maybe shoulder as well. Last year he thought he had a spot in training camp but lost it to Josh Norris. Was sent down and looked bad, before getting injured. Previously a year or two ago he thought he was not given enough of a shot and his agent complained to the public media about not getting a fair shake. He has been close to a point per game in the AHL and has a wicked shot and vision. Just injuries and compete as well as maybe foot speed have been a question. Still one of our most skilled prospects so hard to move on.
