Description
Once Tuch comes off of LTIR, the team will have to move one of McNabb, Janmark, Smith, Dadonov, or Patrick to become cap compliant. The other option could be moving Tuch. Vegas won’t want to move any of these players, but something will have to happen

Tuch's expected to be out around 4 months of the season. Lots of injuries, etc, happen between now and then. They have no real competition in the Pacific, no reason to rush him back or anything.

Most injuries are not LTIR injuries that come with cap relief

No but its rare a team goes a full season without an injury of some sort going to LTIR and the requirements for it are pretty lax. For Vegas, 50% of their players are earning more than Tuch. It would be unlikely they can't make it work by the time January comes around.

Yeah not ideal to run with no spare bodies but their AHL team is close by so maybe it's doable.
