Trade for Dubois loosely based on another ACGM post

Description
Probably an overpayment for PLD but I could see Montreal trying something like this to try to acquire a Québécois (hopeful) star
I doubt the Jets would give up a 2C as well, given their position but, again, this is just a variation of an earlier post

I'd rather keep Byron than give up 3 second rounders to get rid of him

Based on 4 games in the playoffs, I'll take Anderson over Dubois.

Yeah that doesn’t get you PLD even when he’s at his lowest point in value. Jets have 0 reason to move him.

You’d have to move quality pieces outside of Suzuki/Caufield to get PLD.

I did say in the description that the Jets would not likely give up their 2C given that they want to compete in the playoffs.

I agree with everyone else. The Jets have no reason to move Dubois as they know exactly how hard and how expensive it is to find a top 6 center. If they did however, Montreal only has one asset that Winnipeg would consider as the starting point.

Drouin had more points than Dubois had last season

And going by MTLs fans logic Drouin is worth more then Dubois

It’s funny actually everytime MTL fans put down Dubois saying he’s not that good but somehow still end up making a trade for him by value they deem “fair”… and then they act like their doing the Jets a favour…. smh

By that logic Pittsburgh should trade Crosby for Scheifele.

Jets should also be able to get Point for Scheifele. Scheifele had more points than point last year!

I think another thing to consider other than Dubois being a center and Drouin a winger is that Montreal tried to give Seattle Drouin for free and weren't able do it, while Winnipeg would have no shortage of suitors for Dubois if they made him available.

still, it's worth considering that Drouin had more points in fewer GP than Dubois

By Jets fan logic, Sami Niku is worth more than Ramonov

Lol I wonder who ever said that?

Or u u just making it up?

Just accept the fact the Jets have no interest trading their 2nd line center for spare pieces

You guys should probably extend Drouin then next year. Nobody else wants him. Maybe $8.5/ 8 years?

Jets should resign Niku to an 11-year deal so he can retire as a Jets

Jets fans said the same thing about Laine a few years ago since he was a big goal scorer ...
