There are a few things that would need to probably happen for both sides:


1. Swap out Kostin and the 2nd round pick for Thomas.

2. Place a condition or two on the 1st round pick

3. Get VT to waive his NTC for Ottawa, Canada.

I can see why we should be more interested in Kyrou than Thomas.


Thomas might hold out longer than Tkachuk for all we know.

While Kyrou is signed until 2023 and will still be under team control afterwards.



However, I think a trade that doesn't involve Tkachuk or an offer-sheet on someone like Yamamoto would make more sense to get to the floor by October 12th.

If OTT decided to move Tkachuk this offer would get blown away by other teams, and it's not like Brady would sign a 5X $5.5 anyway, so...

Personally wouldn't be interested in this deal at all. Would continue to listen to offers from other teams
