RN Dunn > dobson and they both have poteinal ive seen a lot of trades with dunn to the isles i feel this is what sea asks for or you dont get him simple as that

i think they have the same top 4 potential neither has elite or norris potential tho

doesn’t matter who’s better right now. dobson’s ELC alone and extra years of team control, plus him being an RD means his value is higher.

Dobson definitely has elite potential. As a 19 YO rookie he had impressive underlying numbers. 6’4 two way RHD with elite skating ability don’t grow on trees. Top 4 RHD in general are one of the more valuable commodities in the NHL.

Obviously Dunn is better than Dobson right now, Dobson is only 21. Dunn is 25.

well i disagree but ill admit i dont watch the isles too too much but obviously have seen alot of them recently and i like dobson just feel hes overvalued.

From what I can see, the Islanders are an older team. This is their window. Even with Dobson and Raty coming up, I don't think it's gonna replace stuff their gonna be missing by the time they're both ready. So that is why I would consider this trade as an Islanders. Dunn is ready now. He fits the window. Dobson is gonna come in either right at the end of the window or after it. After the window, they're gonna be figuring it out and looking like the Blues now. Some really good players, but just not enough from everywhere to work. And no. I'm not high. Just looking at this trade from a different viewpoint from most other people here are.
