Description
Notes

I believe Jeff Carter retires after this season; we sign max domi to fill his role

Vincent Trochek who is from Pittsburgh becomes our big name FA signing

We realize Jarry as a 50+ game starter isn’t gonna be good enough to keep us a competitive playoff team in a growing divison; he however can be solid in a tandem; but with no cap space left After trochek & Domi signing’s we sign veteran Jaroslav Halak to tandem with Jarry; I believe Filip Lindberg will make the roster in 2023-2024 and hopefully be our future starter

an Increased amount of fans believe Filip Hallander, Samuel Poulin and Nathan Legare are gonna be nhl ready but I believe all 3 need a year in the AHL first and than will become full time nhler’s in 2023-2024

There are several problems with this.
1.) Sully’s system works best when the d pairs have a lefty and righty playing on their regular sides.
2.) The pens won’t trade for bellows unless they have the intention to play him. He would have to go through waivers being sent down and there is no way he doesn’t get claimed by a team like Arizona.
3.) why sign Trochek and Domi when you can use that money to sign Barkov. Florida has too many free agents to sign to be able to afford big money for Barkov. They only have 14-15 million in cap space with several key contracts to sign. By sending Panik to the AHL, or better yet, not trading for him at all you’ll have the money to sign Barkov. If not Barkov, then Hertl.
4.) Matheson absolutely should not go back to being paired with Marino. Them paired together was an absolute dumpster fire. POJ likely gets paired with Marino if Pettersson is traded.
5.) At least Hallander and Poulin will be on the team next year. If not Legare and possibly Puustinen making a push at some point.

I also don't think you are really going to get assets back for Zucker. SEA, or anybody, is going to ask for something coming along with him. With some retention, they would probably counter with less going to PIT.

Says Lauzon can play both sides

can play bellows over panik and sure POJ and Marino sounds good
this lineup is very flexible

also pens signing Barkov is highly unrealistic, he’ll be back in Florida they’ll prioritize him over all their other FA’s

And I also don’t think rushing Poulin and Hallander is a good thing, especially Hallander with his lack of experience on NA ice

Sure he can play both sides but he is still a left handed defenseman making two lefties for 1 pair.
They don’t have the cap space for Barkov. That’s the problem. Unless they are just going to have Barkov with a bunch of scrubs and overpaid contracts lol. Plus they’d have probably already signed him by now if they were even close. He’s likely going to get 11-12 on the free agent market. All Florida can afford is like 5-7 and still put even a semi-competent team around him.

Poulin and Hallander aren’t being rushed lol. Hallander has played professionally already. It’s just a matter of being used to the NA ice size. Poulin was close last year too
