If Sens get that trade, they could expect a really good season. They looked really good at the end of the season last time around so hopefully, more improvement for the Sens soon.

Norris looks like he can be a star, and Ottawa is still a lottery team with or without Eichel this season. Ottawa says no, keeping their young assets and will spend the cap later.

Unless Matt Murray has an incredible bounce-back season Ottawa likely misses the playoffs again, which means they have a shot at another high pick in a VERY stacked draft. It would be foolish to rush this before seeing how Eichel performs after his surgery and what they actually have in Norris - who happens to be the long time best friend of Brady Tkachuk. They're building something properly... stick with the plan Ottawa.
