For?
For Edmonton.
Yamamoto, 2017 first round pick, NHL ready he would be the Sabres #1 RW next year (EDM top RW prospect)
Bourgault, 2021 first round pick, RHC,/RW fills a void in the Sabre prospects
Broberg, 2019 first round pick LHD does not fill a need as Buffalo is loaded, (EDM top LHD prospect)
Koskinen, He would be Buffalo's top GK this year, but he is semicap equalizing addition
Klefbom, He would be Buffalo's 2nd pairing LHD, unfortunately he does not fill a need currently as Buffalo has Butcher currently in that spot, I suppose you added him to balance the cap exchange?
2022 1st round pick (EDM) and 2023 1st round pick (EDM) nice to go to the podium extra times on the first day of the draft, even if they are late round picks.
While Klefbom and Broberg do not fill needs, they are assets and I am certain Klefbom would return at least a first.
Buffalo could use Broberg as a sweetener in a trade to fill in other holes in the line up.
If Buffalo had not already traded Ristolainen and Reinhart, Yamamoto, Klefbom, Koskinen alone would make up most of Eichel's departure.
Then add two more firsts, Broberg and Bourgault, it is way too much for Jack Eichel.
I would do back flips if this was the return. Three decent roster players, four recent or future first round picks.
I should explain I understand Koskinen and Klefbom were probably included to balance that cap and Koskinen has litter value due to his cap hit, so they probably cancel each other out.
But IMO the other five pieces are still a lot to give up for Eichel.
Take out Klefbom and I think it is closer to fair.
EDIT: Keith was added to IMPROVE the defense and cut down on the GA.
IMO that is a terrible trade for the Oilers to make.
Philadelphia gave up a second to move Gostisbehere, Edmonton gave up Jones to get Keith.
Keith has value, Gostisbehere had negative value.
