You may be right. But wouldn't the Devils be better to keep Holtz, a top 10 pick and 7m in cap to spend on UFA next year instead of having Tkachuk.
Brother Matthew Tkachuk has managed his contract so he can be a UFA in the summer of 2023. I'm sure Brady is thinking the same thing....four more years in Ottawa, and then be a UFA.

So sens fans after screaming about a tkachuk for dahlin or eichel trade, do that?

They could even make the playoffs with Tkachuk on board

So you'd have to be damn sure that Holtz is going to be freaking good because that trade could be disastrous if not.

Tkachuk was the first pick of the rebuild and the posterboy for team identity. He's a very big core piece as of now.
