It's always difficult to project 3 yrs out, just look at the team 3 years ago and how different it already is. But given what we've got in the pool, and the limited cap space, this is probably a fair projection. I think ROR would demand a bigger number or longer term, if not both. Personally I don't see Husso as the answer for backup - Hofer or Ellis would probably be getting looks in 3 years.

I think Thomas will stay at center long-term, whether that means Schenn or Bolduc (or both) to LW. I don't think Perunovich can elevate his game to play top-pair minutes, so that 1LD spot might need to be an external add. The system is so low on defense, something tells me they'll address it via acquisistion. If Neighbours and Kostin can stick as 3rd liners, it would be huge.

Mayfield will probably get more than 2.5, although im kinda nitpicking. Its pretty good tho like @a_k said i doubt husso is still in the nhl in 3 years.

Yeah, this is a mission impossible to guess three years out, but I have a few notes.

1- Thomas will be a C, Bolduc almost certainly winger.
2- You can't really think Army won;t make a single trade. Obviously.
3- I can think of at least 2-3 prospects with a better shot than Dickinson to fill a wing role.
4- There's at least a fair chance Hofer is the 2G by then.
5- Tucker and/or Kessel could grab one of those D rotation slots by then.
6- And yes, the cap will be up by then.

The issue with the trades is its impossible to predict trades and then it skews the rest of the acgm. Also then all the comments will be about the trades as opposed to the point of the acgm.
