Lysell will not be traded. SJ wants a C or D prospect to go with the 1st.

Lmao I think I never hated more a player than Beecher
He was so bad at the WCJ I can’t even believe he made the roster. Might be a 4th liner grinder

Guy hasn't played a pro game yet and you hate him. Give the kid a chance, the only WJ's he played in he was still relatively young for the tournament. Hes dealt with some adversity, just give the kid time. Athletic monster - see where it goes before you "hate him"

Won’t get Hertl.

Only Boston is high on Debrusk and Beecher had a rough 2020 and isn’t good.

Much better offers out there and SJS legit doesn’t need a winger in Debrusk.

I’m general for everything else;
Boston won’t be able to beat any offers for Hertl.

Completely agree. I still maintain that Boston and Montreal have nothing good enough to entice us to trade Hertl.

I’d love to hear how he’s a desirable assets I’m all for discussion yet you say it like “we’re dumb” (you aren’t saying that directly) but because it’s “obvious” somehow.

Because of being a fan of hockey, not just my team, Debrusk isn’t an obvious valuable asset. A valuable asset would be Beecher (tho I dislike him, he does hold some up side dispute an unlucky 2020) or your first.

Fans and front offices have different views. Fans are short sighted, recency bias and sentimental thinkers. Front offices are none of that.

Debrusk and Beecher were both playing though injuries to start the year and both ended up getting Covid, which Beecher was shut down for.

Go luck at Debrusk’s career numbers and 82 game averages compared to Labanc. Debrusks are better and SJ fans think Labanc is worth a 1st +.

I would not swap Beecher 1 for 1 for any SJ prospect after Eklund. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Other teams can make better offer, every team always can, even the least talented. Will they is the bigger question. Most won’t be in position to make an offer which makes it irrelevant if they can.

In the end they will get a few offers and take the best or the one that best suits them. The idea that any team does not have the ability/pieces to trade for anyone is laughable. Again…a fan thing. But fans aren’t rational.

We aren’t, but you think he has value i assume. While Debrusk whose 82 game averages are the same as Timo Meier, is valueless. How is that for ironic?

You’re so aggressive relax bud, it’s okay your insecurities are showing. We aren’t even discussing Meier either!!!

You’re deflecting heavily from what I pointed out, looking like it’s quite true.

It’s not agression, it’s incredulous. Imaging thinking a proven 20g scorer under 25 is valueless because of a bad season with multiple factors beyond his control contributing to it. His value is at an all-time low. Saying he has no value is ignorant.

I mean I never said he had no value!

Your whole thread is based on your own insecurities and clear frustration with my comment otherwise your would have been able deduct I never said DeBrusk has no value.

It actually was someone else’s quote that you quoted and then i quoted.

You did however ask another to explain how he was a desirable asset.

It’s not insecurity. I could care less what others think. If they choose to remain ignorant that’s their problem. I’ve even seen he’s a cap dump by some. 🙄. Funny how multiple teams have come calling and been rebuffed. Who does that for a cap dump…on both ends of it? I’d argue the same for a player in same situation for another team as well. An under 25, under 4m, guy that was 25g 50p type player for first 3 years has a terrible year i’m not short sighted enough to dismiss him entirely. Maybe it’s just me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is the point, and the fact that you are arguing with Gofnut, who is actually one of the few people on here that thinks and does their research, just goes to show why I so passionately defend Debrusk. People just don't think. im not a bruins fan, i dont care. Its just a matter of the people on here that are tryna call debrusk a "cap dump" and its stuff like that that just infuriates me and all of the other logical fans out there. People gotta start thinking

Ya the prospect pool is very shallow, outside of Lysell and Lohrei there is not much that commands value. For that reason they can’t trade either. If they can’t make a trade without them involved they won’t make a trade. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also cap space, they have 1m. Can’t take salaried players in without salaried players going out. Of the players making over 1m they have 1 player that can realistically be moved that has value…Debrusk. Coyle has an NMC, Moore is a cap dump, and Wagner adds no value to a trade and creates little space. The rest are either needed or just signed as UFAs so they won’t be moved til at least the deadline. I could have seen them moving Debrusk for futures to create space and assets to make a move but they turned down every attempt from others to do that. They are willing to move him in a deal to get what they need now, if not they are content with keeping him. If the right trade is out there they’ll do it. If not they have no problems going as is and take stock at the deadline.

The reality is a 1st/Debrusk/and 3rd piece is FMV for Hertl. If SJ does not want it and is looking for something different, and sounds like they are, that is fine and understandable. Saying it’s not what they are looking for is reasonable. Saying it’s not enough or there is no value there is not.
