Détails additionnels:
Doing this deal with BUF instead of the Coyotes mess. obviously Florida wouldn't make this deal. Buf would take Bad contracts with retention. Eriksson is only owed $3 million cap vs his $6 M cap hit. Beagle is owed $1.2 M cash and Roussel $1.9 M

Détails additionnels:
Myers is actually only owed $13 million cash over the final 3 seasons of his contract after the summer signing bonus. With retention the contract is moveable ($10 M for 3 years). Obviously this dump gets done before the expansion draft and the Canucks sign Larsson as a UFA

Considering the contracts, I’d rather have Garland than Reinhart. Also, no reason to believe buffalo would take all that dead weight anyways. Their trade with Florida hd 0 cap coming back.

I get Ekman Larsson is a big contract but I think you’re overstating the downside of his contract here. He’s a solid #5 at this point in his career. Over payed for sure but him plus Garland is the same cap hit as Reinhart + Myers retention + Larsson.

Speaking of Myers, I sincerely doubt Seattle takes that trade. They are obviously high on Larsson considering they took him in the ED

I’m confused. Why is Buffalo accepting Vancouver’s deal over Florida. There’s nothing there better than their deal except a higher pick most likely

Larsson was never a UFA though?... Seattle drafted and signed him. There are half a dozen teams that would have given Larsson that contract, he would have gotten more on the open market.

Threw in extra picks to compensate for the players going back. That's a good reason for them to make the deal. If you retain $2 million on Eriksson, he's only owed $1 million cash. Beagle is only owed $1.2. They have to pay someone so might as well accumulate picks for it. Seems reasonable

OEL's contract is going to be a serious Burden. On top of that he's not a great fit for the club. Hughes is an offensive PP guy and OEL is massively overpaid as a shutdown and PK guy. He's going to be a nice upgrade and fun to watch this year but not a great idea/fit in the big picture. Guys like Graves and Dillion were available before the expansion draft

Oh I thought they spoke to him ahead of free agency and then inked him. I didn't realize they selected a UFA and got the head start

I'm trying to undo recent moves. Trade Pearson at the deadline for picks that would used in the other moves. Sign Ritchie for a lower cap hit in similar role

Why would they do that?
Horvat has incredible chemistry with person and he is one of the leaders on the team. What would ritchie add to this team?
