Vegas would be crazy to do that! That would ruin their team. Also, we wouldn’t. We are taking on so much cap, it’s not even funny. If I was going to trade McDavid, I would trade him for young players, that have good cheep contracts. Yes, you will obviously have to take on cap, but the whole trade shouldn’t be us taking on massive amounts of cap. Team would be crazy to trade for him anyway, because it would ruin their team either way.

That’s not getting Hertl or Nylander

McDavid trade cost is so high it'd ultimately be pointless for any team to try it, unless he very specifically requested a trade to get out of EDM. All teams would in normal situation be better off just keeping their core. EDM is a grand example that a single player won't bring a team success.

Pietrangelo is 31 and signed for several more years at a huge cap hit and isn't the #1 stud he was when he was younger. theodore is good yes, tuch is hurt and is a middle 6 winger and those will be extremely late 1sts.

Easy no from Vegas. They'd be much, much worse as a team after such exchange. What's the point for a contending team to break the core to bring in one guy that won't have a changing effect towards their success...it's a team game.
