For a 2nd+Brown (The edited trade), I'd think the Ducks would strongly consider it. The issue I have with it is that it leaves Zegras in an extremely vulnerable position where he is put into situation where he shouldn't be. This would be similar to moving Manson without getting an overpay...it leaves Drysdale hung out to dry. IMO, there's value in keeping players during a rebuild. Trading guys just for the sake of getting low level prospects and mid-low picks is a poor strategy (Again, just my opinion).

Honestly, without getting value for someone like Rico, I'd be quite content holding onto him. Yes, he's overpaid, but he also plays a role that the Ducks need for the time being, regardless of where they are from a competitive standpoint.

They needed a temp RD till JBD is ready, and they get 2 aged LD. they make a huge hole on RW by trading Dadonov and did nothing to replace him. I am glad OTT did not trade for Eichel with all the uncertainty of his injury and surgery, but they did NOTHING to improve.
