First off you can only retain on 3 contracts at once and Panik already holds a spot.
I don't think that islanders deal happens.
Pittsburgh is not giving up one of their top prospects for Stetcher. A third is probably all he gets, maybe a late second to the right team.
Don't know why you included Lashoff on that Vegas trade he's an ahler. Also can't retain so that doesn't happen.
Janmark doesn't get tippett.
Probably not trading Bertuzzi now.

The Islanders have all the space they need. Boychuck to LTIR then Panik, Komorov and Hickey can all be buried. They certainly don't have to pay a 1st rounder to save one year of 1.6m on the cap (Komarov buried). Ridiculous

Are you forgetting about getting Fabbri at 50%. The cap savings of Komarov is just a cherry on top and doesn’t add too much value to the deal.

The Islanders forwards are set. Fabbri doesn't move the needle enough to move that package. Especially considering they need a LD way before even thinking about adding another forward.

Your comment is written as though the cap space is the valuable asset and completely forgets Fabbri. You may not want Fabbri but this trade isn’t “ridiculous” it just doesn’t fill a need.
