Description
MTL fans let me know of the Trade is fair value. How would you adjust the trade?

I like the idea of running 7 D with an established 2 way Vet on the 4th line.

I think the 3 teams decline
MTL gets fleeced
ARI are tanking and don’t want salary back
Bortuzzo is a good 3rd pairing RHD
Don’t need another forward

Regardless of value, Habs and Leafs are not going to be trading with each other unless its in a lost season for one of the two teams. A la Habs back in the day trading Plekanec to the Leafs for their playoff run while Habs were going to miss the playoffs.

Why are the Habs making their center depth worse?? They are in no position to be trading away centers. As for your lineup, why is Alex Biega a forward, why are Bunting and Spezza sitting, and why is Donato on your first line. Not only do none of your trade teams accept, this team doesnt even make the playoffs.

MTL gets fleeced

I'm not a Leafs/Habs fan but I was wondering about this...

Can you explain?

This was made before the Dvorak trade
Kerfoot isn’t a 2C
MTL would not make the playoffs with Kerfoot (and might not do it with Dvorak, who is clearly better than Kerfoot). Evans is kind of the same type of player than Kerfoot, but he only makes 750K, which is great. MTL RHD prospect are : Logan Mailloux (2021) Josh Brook and Dmitri Kostenko (2021). So Josh Brook is kinda more important now since we lost Fleury to Seattle. With Kerfoot, we probably don’t make the playoffs, so that 2022 2nd round pick would be a high one. Dermott is kinda useless for our future because we have Romanov Norlinder Guhle Harris Struble we are just stacked on LHD

I'm not arguing these things... but you said "MTL gets fleeced" which means you thought they were giving up more value than receiving

Kerfoot has 136 pts in 278 GP, and is a speedy 2-way center. He's not even 2 years older than Evans for who the ultimate best case scenario would be to be as good as Kerfoot.

Josh Brook's value has diminished a LOT the last 2 years. His future in the NHL is far from certain while Dermott is a NHL player and only 2 years older.

The 2nd round pick was to offset the difference in each of these trade off

I really don't see how a team gets fleeced here.

Kerfoot is better than Evans, but he makes 3.5M while Evans do 750K
Dermott won’t have a future in MTL with our LHD stacked

And we can’t move another center like Evans even if we get a center.

Anyway, I shouldn’t have said we are getting fleeced, you are right. MTL decline because of the reasons above
Xspyrit a aimé ceci.
