Every deadline move Lou has made, he's ended up signing in free agency. I have faith that this wouldn't just be a rental, so I'd have no problem doing it. The Islanders biggest hole right now is on LD and there aren't many available... Ekholm being the best rumored LD. As an aside, it also helps the Islanders chance with Forseberg in free agency if they can find a way to make it work.

How much of a raise is Pulock going to get? He's already accounting for 5m. Dobson is 21 just exiting his ELC, he's not going to break the bank.

I could see Pulock asking for 8 million with what Trouba got, Dobson could be had on a bridge deal but then you have Barzal coming up the year after wanting Brayden Pointe money atleast.
