Dvorak is already on a pretty good contract and AZ is retaining on OEL already for the next 6 seasons. Not sure they have the appetite to retain 1 milk on Dvorak even if they are getting an overpayment in return

retained 950k for 4 years adds to the value. Leafs give up a 1st (probably late) but get back a 2nd (probably mid to early). Kerfoot, who is solid, Dermott who would be given a bigger role and a top prospect in Robertson. It is a lot but they get 4 years of a guy entering in his prime, who would really help out on the wing and centre. He would compliment the core very well.

More unnecessary love for Dvorak. Kerfoot and Dvorak have about the same on ice value. Then to add an NHL Dman, a first rounder and a top prospect. Why would the Leafs even consider this?
Then to depend on Tierney and Kampf as 3/4 centres....that's iffy , but in case of injury to either Mattews or Tavares, Tierney and Kampf won't ge the Job done
