I actually don't hate the return, but I hate what we're giving. Toffoli was on a 44 goal pace this season and 70 something points.

I dont really follow the logic behind this move list.

WHy are the avs trading Kadri to make a hole in their roster then looking for sub level replacement Centers instead? If the goal is to get a middle 6 winger....just go get a middle 6 winger, you dont need to move Kadri for one

very true but kadri being your number one you have picks and stuff price is only good for a couple more years same with a couple other playing you need centers yes toffoli was amazing but with danult gone your kinda lacking on centers

mixing it up i was dissapointed in kadri's proformence last year toffoli is a top goal scorer and would be deadly with bruky plus if he has another repeat of what did last year we wont want to resign

Kadri is a 1 UFA, Toffoli has one of the best contracts in the league. Habs say no

habs need a center at this point with people getting older this is the best chance you have a risk reward type with picks you can get another winger

kadri was on a 52 point pace as a 2c, I dont see really the disappointment in his performance last year. Lots of Avs fans say that and its feeling like an unwarranted talking point when in reality his numbers were his career averages.

Avs need Kadri more than Tofolli. Jost at 2C did not work in the playoffs, Newhook isnt ready for a fulltime 2C role, and none of those C targets are 2C level. You make the avs much weaker moving out their best faceoff guy now after Bellemare has left.

This feels like you are making a hole in the roster that you cant fill.

- Kadri will be the 2C, Suzuki is the 1C
- We can probably get a centre for cheaper than Toffoli, if any winger's getting traded its going to be either Drouin or Byron

They would rather try Poeheling than trade Toffoli. I think they would look at someone cheap to acquire like Girgensons

honestly depends... i dont know too much about compher; does he play PK? since lehkonen's our #1 winger on the PK

Compher does PK. They really are similar players in what roles they play. Compher is best on the Wing IMO but hes he plays C as well. Other people see him as a Centre more, but Avs fans like him best on the wing.

plus with jost and newhook he wont have time on c

honestly then I don't think so. Lehkonen fills a PK and 4LW need. Compher is a PKer and i think a 3rd liner? but we have way too many wingers and trading Lehkonen likely won't help us

I assumed montreal would play him at C which would be the draw for Bergevin. I would like the Avs to add a LWer for the middle 6 in Lehkonen.
But I totally get why you would turn it down. Its a min maxing move and might as well as keep the guy you already know and are comfortable with

Yup, hes a Winger on the Avs next year. Maltsev will be 4C as well. I really want to add a LW instead of Compher at RW. That is the type of compher trade im interested in....can they move him for a Lehkonen type in a pure hockey trade

compher takes a decent chunk of cap with are coing rookies i wouldnt mind a 3rd and put kaut there in his place

depends on training camp. Kaut needs to show up and be the player hes suppose to be. Donato would be a nice add if they PTO him and see how he does at training camp too
