While the components might and I say might get you Bert, Wings have Ned, who is young and cost controlled for several years, and they selected a goalie in the draft with their 2nd pick in the 1st round. In a different scenario, maybe, with the draft over and what Stevie selected it does not make sense from a Wings Perspective.

Georgiev is the center piece of the deal and it is NOT something Wings need desperately right now.

Aleksander Barkov would cost 7 x $12,000,000 at least to sign with the Rangers, Zibabejad wants 8 x $10,000,000 at least to stay with New York according to Larry Brooks. Nils Lunkvist for an aging backup Goalie is a royal joke. Detroit passes big time. Fox is getting a hell of a lot more then $5,000,000 per next season and if Kakko and Lafreniere live up to their hype they're going to cost big time. Rangers can't afford this in the long term.
