With that said, this offer is laughable and Buffalo rejects it immediately if it was offered anyways...

Of healthy he would be a great add but detroit doesn't have the excess prospects and picks in order to pay for a player like him. Also this team, even with eichel at the helm, still isn't a contending team for a few more years so we would be wasting 3-4 years of his contract and only get 1-2 for years before he walks. Would rather go after him in 5 years of he's still significant when this team will be looking at they playoffs every year.
