Might as well send KK to Arizona if you're going to play him on a fourth line.

How many minutes do you think KK will play on average this season? That, who your lines mates are, and what your role is, are all more useful than the archaic « 1, 2, 3, 4 » arbitrary numbering of lines, I would hope you would agree?

I’m not sure Gallagher’s role should change. An effective checker against the other team’s top lines who can simultaneously produce offense.
I think you’re asking too much from KK. He’s still a kid. He’ll get PP time, but 5 on 5, this is not it.

KK is a kid you're right, but he needs to show the team he isn't just a 3rd liner, and gallys role doesn't need to change he can still run wild on that line. He would only help Hoffman create scoring and KKs passing would also help tremendously

I’m fine if we want to teach KK to be an elite two way with Gally, I’d be okay with that with developmental purposes. But then we need to give him Lehkonen, or Armia, or someone responsible on his left wing across from Gally.

If Gallagher’s role doesn’t change, then he checks top lines. But if you’re putting Hoffman on a line that has any responsibility for checking, you’re screwing up as a coach, imo.

I’d be okay giving KK, Drouin, and Armia ~ 15 ish minutes a game in largely sheltered offensive situations.
