Fabbri will be a 26-year-old pending UFA rental while Yamamoto will be a 23-year-old under team control for several more years.

Past two seasons:
Yamamoto: 79, 19-28-47 (0.59 P/GP) +26
Fabbri: 91, 25-25-50 (0.55 P/GP) -30

Yamamoto clearly has far more value than Fabbri due to contract differences and similar performance. Why is this difficult for you to understand?

Yamamoto had the privilege of playing with Draisaitl and Nuge for a significant portion. Specifically just looking at Draisaitl, 1074 mins with and 264 mins without. We can’t really say that about Fabbri. Yes there is a value difference in team control but let’s not assume Yamamoto is a ~.55-.6 pt/g player in Detroit with Blashill’s system and supporting cast.

We'll never know, because this trade isn't happening. Nobody is going to pay that much to rent Fabbri for a couple of months.

Strawman. Nobody is saying this here on this thread. Stick to the topic at hand.

Yamamoto is highly overrated. He's got potential but I am not sure he'll ever be more than a middle 6 guy who scores on streaks and then disappears for games on end. I don't care one way or another about this trade, it's all a bunch of meh.

Dude you lost Rinne to retirement, Traded Arvidsson lost Ellis without replacing any of them. You might finish slightly higher then us but you're not making the playoffs.

Rinne was our back up. Arvi hasn’t look the same since his back injury 2 years ago and carrier took Ellis spot with josi at the end of the season. Not to mention we started our hot run last year without any of those players you mention. I get it you seen them trade big name players and thought hey they must be going for a rebuild but I’m just here to tell you that isn’t poile and you can believe he thinks this team can make the playoffs and with his record of going to the playoffs 14 times out of the last 17 years I’ll take his trade record over you opinion and most sport writers. We wasn’t suppose to make the playoffs last year but somehow did and we brought Carolina to 6 games in a hard fought series

We don’t need the trade to go through to realize Yamamoto benefits to a much greater degree than Fabbri from teammate utilization nor did I ever say anything about the trade. Merely commented on your generalization that doesn’t make too much sense without added context.
