Selling off pending UFAs before the trade deadline.

Not aimed at any team in particular.

The teams that were chosen are based on the personal backgrounds of the players in question.

Miller would be third pairing on the leafs and imo both Sandin and Dermott are better then him so the Leafs will pass

no, im saying it because miller stinks and the leafs dont need or want him, but if you wanna invent some sort of weird rivalry when i'd already forgotten you existed then have at it.

1. Leafs only have 1 right shot defenceman on their entire roster.

2. Dermott and Sandin were barely used in the playoffs.

3. Kyle Dubas and Sheldon Keefe have a history of success with Colin Miller


I'm not so sure that the Leafs would pass.

Cody Eakin is a cap dump. Will Butcher is a cap dump.

What has Dahlin done to deserve 5M? If he's only wanting 2 years the Sabres probably just give him 1 year at his QO (he has no arb rights).

As for Colin Miller the Leafs don't have the cap space even half retained.

Leafs have Brodie who plays the right exclusively Holl and liljegren.

The leafs not only have no need for Miller but they don’t have the cap space. Now maybe at the TDL we have injury issues but I wouldn’t want Miller in our top 4. Think we would need to find someone better.

Miller has been a healthy scratch on every team he's played on. Including Buffalo. He is, in fact, bad.

They would, he's overpriced and not good. Also Brodie plays the right side, what hand he shoots is irrelevant. Also Liljegren is on the roster and is right handed and better than Miller.

Cody Eakin didn't work out the last time he was with the Jets. Doubt they would make that mistake again.

1. Trade is made at the TDL.

2. Liljegren hasn't shown he can play in the NHL full-time.



3. Buffalo might struggle to hit the cap floor, especially if they go ahead and trade Eichel.

If Toronto needed to dump somebody to make room, Buffalo might consider.

With respect to Dahlin, Buffalo needs to hit the floor, especially if they trade Eichel.

In this scenario, Buffalo is paying slightly more on Dahlin than what the Flyers are paying on Sanheim.


Also, if Dahlin can only have his QO of 832.5K, then he'll just sit out for the season.

Does it really matter to Buffalo if Dahlin sits out for the season. They're trying to tank anyways, All I'm saying is that for an overpay of 5M they should be getting 3 or 4 years.

If they take on Mikko Koskinen they could probably get an asset and hit the cap floor easily.

If he was bad, Buffalo wouldn't have traded for him in the first place.

Lilly is awesome, he’s shown all he needs to. He just needs a slot. Don’t confuse his lack of play with his ability to. Leafs have been going with veteran players. Which Bogo was dependable but he’s no where as good as Lilly.

Also, leafs have no contracts to dump.

How many games did Liljegren play over the last 2 seasons?

And how many games did Miller play over the last 2 seasons?

Buffalo is tanking, regardless of whether Dahlin plays or not.

They still need to put a team on the ice.

If your 1st overall pick from a couple of years ago is sitting out for the season, it wouldn't look good.


Also, Koskinen has trade protection that likely prevents a trade to Buffalo.

They shouldn't have and his contract is bad. If he was good, Vegas wouldn't have traded him

One of them is 22 years old, the other was given away in an expansion draft, became a health scratch in Vegas, was traded to buffalo where he was also a healthy scratch.

1. A half retained contract of under 2 million with one year left isn't exactly bad.

If that's the case, then the Leafs need to get rid of at least half their team.


2. If Miller was bad, Buffalo wouldn't have traded for him.

Marc-Andre Fleury was good when he played for Vegas, but Vegas traded him, so I guess he's bad, right?
