Mayfield was great in the playoffs - a 3rd round pick is not enough incentive for the islanders to trade him.

It really doesn’t matter what he wants based on that trade the Ducks decline. Retention plus Scandella is a 1st. Still have to pay for Fowler and he’s worth more than two future 2nds.

You implied that because one team lost 2 years in row in the first round and the other team lost two years in a row in the ECF that these two guys should swap teams for a change of scenery. Why would a guy that's made it to the ECF two years in a row need a change of a scenery? I doubt he's disappointed and tired of losing.
