We have no way to make it work cap wise if Senko has more than a year left on his contract. We’ve got too many guys to resign next year (Fox, Mika, Kakko and a new 2C).

That's the Islanders equivalent of Kyrou for Bellows and a 2024 4th...

That’s not really a overpay for Fowler considering it’s a late 1st and Scandella isn’t very good

not really your way off on you valuations there
but i would add 3rd to make it work its more of a change up for both teams two first round exits and 2 ECF exits in a row maybe a change for a guy that hits alot can work

Regardless I don’t think the Ducks do it and Fowler probably doesn’t waive.

Why not i think he would want to be a top 4 dman with a lot of time on a contender instead of being on a basement team for the 3 or 4 years

Mayfield was great in the playoffs - a 3rd round pick is not enough incentive for the islanders to trade him.

It really doesn’t matter what he wants based on that trade the Ducks decline. Retention plus Scandella is a 1st. Still have to pay for Fowler and he’s worth more than two future 2nds.

Are you seriously comparing 2 1st round exits to 2 ECF exits?...lol..no man...just no, not even close.

The Islanders have already made changes in trading Leddy and letting Eberle go in the expansion draft. We're not going to give up another good player just "because".

What clues? You implied that because one team lost 2 years in row in the first round and the other team lost two years in a row in the ECF that these two guys should swap teams for a change of scenery. Why would a guy that's made it to the ECF two years in a row need a change of a scenery? I doubt he's disappointed and tired of losing.
