The Wild probably aren't in the business of giving up 1sts at this point, DEFINITELY not for Dylan Strome.

Dylan Strome had a bad year and I doubt he gets Chicago more than a 3rd and a prospect at this point.

He's got 1 year left and we have no other use for his cap so it's not really a situation where we're paying to dump him

I'm talking about Rask. There is no value in paying someone to take him. We can easily manage his cap hit for the one season he hast left. We have 13M in cap space and one player to sign.

Is this real? Wild don't need to trade Rask. Just stop because wild aren't trading their 1st round pick especially for Dylan strome

He's not an era, he's a ufa. Ps, wild have 15 more mil. After signing fiala this year so no, wild doesn't have to do anything else this year besides sign kaprizov and still have room

Wild don't need Dylan strome though. We are trying to convey to you that victor Rask is a free agent and that wild wouldn't trade a 1st round pick much less 2nd round pick to division rival for average, below average player who would be benched by dean Evason

Maybe this is just me, but what about a Sturm for Strome swap? Sturm likely walks to UFA and is a bottom 6 guy, but the Wild literally have oodles of them and young guys in Iowa that need a shot. Strome is hardly a sure thing but he only takes a spot from Rask and he either proves himself or he doesn’t.

Sure, but what’s he fetch? Everybody and their mother can see he’s being pushed out and he had an atrocious year. You know what you’re getting in Sturm at the very least.

Personally I don't think MIN is the spot for him due to the likely ask. He is still capable to fetch a 2nd and 3rd/prospect and other ACGM from OTT and MTL to name a couple have been okay with the price.

We also just signed Borgstrom who is likely similar to Sturm. Its not a knock on Sturm, its just not a good fit IMO.

IMO the Borgstrom trade was odd. He’s more similar to Strome in that he’s not a great skater but has great vision and playmaking. Essentially it pushed Strome out the door. Sturm is a defense first forward that can play C and has absolute wheels.

The more I see of the trade, the more I feel Stillman was actually a key part of it. Ive been impressed with his ability shown so far and clearly the franchise agrees, giving him a 3 year deal. I do agree with the similarities between both Borgstrom and Strome and I too hold a slight concern over it but people need to be given chances. I also likely hold an unpopular opinion amongst the CHI faithful regarding Strome. I think he has very good Offensive instincts and game but his skating and defence are par or below which is the knock on him. He blew his chance this past season but he also struggled with the cover effected season, injuries and personal off-ice stuff. I would have been okay to give him another opportunity though it does appear he is on the outer. The problem will likely be that the organisation will be wanting a decent return and I feel its going to be that 2nd + 3rd as mentioned.

I have the same read on Stillman and Strome’s ability, which is why I think he’d be a great fit to play with Fiala. For a 3rd, I’d have to seriously consider the move but at a 2nd it might be a tad too high given how bad last year was. I know I bring that up a lot, but I guarantee other teams fixate on that.

I still think a player for player swap makes the most sense for Chicago. That might not be Sturm, but I think it’s still a player.
