Not sure where the value is for BUF here other than the first. Berggen and Veleno are decent pieces, but not mind blowing, and BUF has no interest in DeKeyser and Stecher.

i guarantee they wont see a return as good as everyone is thinking, hes a 10m cap hit and a disgruntled player who is begging for a trade. buffalo will take what they can get and i bet this offer would be close, perhaps another good prospect but with this they are getting a good shut down D and a good center who can fill the massive void they have not to mention the 1st will be very high

If the Sabres were willling to take less then their asking price a trade would have been fine before the trade deadline. A trade at this point is unlikely, and will most likely lead to Eichel getting a surgery, and playing this season. So a trade will most likely happen before the deadline.
