I want Jake DeBrusk

Créé par: MrDinkiee

Équipe: 2021-22 Maple Leafs de Toronto
Explications
I feel like he can be a Sam Bennett. A player who is underperforming with his current team and needs a change of scenery

I'm overpaying since he won't come in cheap, especially when traded to a big rival

I kind of doubt the bruins are going to be into retaining, but this does represent very good value.

I don't really view a potential late 1st and bottom 6 forward as an overpay, especially when they're retaining on him...

I'm neutral on the value. I wouldn't mind doing it, but at the same time, do I really want the Leafs to give up another 1st? At least it will go to a 24 year old with RFA status than a 33 year old

I don’t think that’s overpayment when you factor in the retention. A first is nice but likely going to be a late first and Mikheyev is a replaceable 4th line guy who I’m sure Bruins don’t really care about. Maybe swap him out with a mid level prospect or mid round draft pick.

And Engvall solves that???? he would be their 15th best forward.

I would rather have a guy like Engvall in my lineup than Kyle Turris

Then keep him. Every leafs fan that posts on here trades him for a 5th.

Turris was in the lineup less than 50% of the time last year and probably is going to the AHL next season. Nobody is depending on Turris for anything, lol.

My gosh oiler fans take every trade so personally. So what you don't want engvall you can easily burry him or send him to another team. Its just a placeholder

He's solid defensively. Oilers are going to need it considering you have Ceci and Barrie locked up for 3 to 4 seasons

Forgot about Ryan and Foegele, hey? They are better defensively and offensively than Engvall

Rumor is Holland is offering a 1st and a 2nd for Engvall but Dubas is playing hard ball

I like the deal but id also like for their to be a guaranteed extension included. If that's the case im fine with paying a 1st for Debrusk

Can we please stop giving our 1st round picks for people who don't deserve it.

There's no evidence that DeBrusk will make the kind of meaningful difference for the Leafs when he isn't even doing that well for the Bruins
