we have a history of taking on problems and then turning around with us! and the kid posted a picture he shouldn’t have. he was a young kid playing with men trying to impress them and he did a stupid thing! but, what was done in the picture was consensual, he didn’t rape her, he made a bad mistake and he is paying for it, he should be given a 2nd chance.. but he better compensate her for the damage he did to her reputation and be on a short leash. just like merkley our first from a few years back who had attitude issues but not a peep since we drafted him.

To judge others is not our duty, but to help them. Teenagers always make mistakes, which doesn't mean their heart is necessarily dirty, and Kane is in a big hole, the only way he can get out of it is by playing hockey which he does well. Give them a chance.

Are you saying you took pictures of your sexual partners while engaged in sexual activities without their knowledge or consent and then shared those pictures with your friends? Because if so, yeah, that's revenge porn and it's absolutely illegal in Canada, the UK, and most US states. If you just, like, pulled up a girl's insta profile and showed them non-pornographic images that she consented to having taken, then that's a-ok.

"He didn't rape her" -- no, he didn't. But that doesn't make what he did okay. There's so, so, so many forms of sexual assault and sexual harassment that are devastating to victims and nobody should excuse them just because they aren't rape. He victimized a young woman and hasn't even bothered to give her a sincere apology - you might be super chill with that, but I'm not. I’ve played hockey my entire life (at times relatively competitively) and I’ve never, ever done anything like this. And neither has anyone I’ve ever played with to my knowledge. And I’ve played with quite a few questionable kids.

I can deal with “character issues” but when you do as many terrible things as Kane allegedly has over the years, at some point you need to draw the line. He’s been given chance after chance after chance, but ultimately decided to do bad stuff anyway. I’m done with him too.

Let me tell you, the greatest criminals never live in jails. So if you're going to ban a kid for his bad deed, you're not going to ban the evil of his heart. So ban the evil of his heart, not the kid. You yourself have no power to change but yourself alone, so judge yourself alone, not others. Let that be your judgment. The kid got what he deserved, for he unveiled the bad deed of the girl, his own bad deed got unveiled before the world, and now he's the recipient of your curses, and the world is going to know him as evil. Trust me, that is a fate far worse than being put into jail. So if he doesn't change himself after all this, then be he gone into hell, but if he changes himself, then he should remain proud.

Kane is a fool, he ruined his own life, but we shouldn't cut off his only route towards salvation, or else what is the difference between us and him.

Regardless of your view on Mailloux, Montreal didn't go through all the trouble and backlash of drafting him just to trade him for a piece of crap like Kane. Montreal is in it for the long haul now with Mailloux.

Burns is way bigger of a cap dump than Gardiner. Even at a retained rate I don’t want to pay him until he’s over 40. And on top of that we’re adding prospects and picks? Sharks should be sending prospects and picks the other way. Plus Gardiner is a likely LTIR candidate. No thanks.
