if hintz repeats his p/g production from last season thats probably too light. gotta think salary cap goes up too. idk just seems really light considering the mega defensemen deals we just saw.

I don’t think Hintz would sign that. It’s very possible by the end of this season he cements himself as a top 15 center.

I'm not sure what he'll sign because this is in two years, but I based his contract off of the B.Schenn contract.

If the cap goes up it could be a totally different story, but if I know what numbers it might be I'd be open to edit a few things based off of that.

Hintz is a lot better than Schenn. Hintz will be 27 in the 1st year of his new contract, if he’s close to a PPG next season, he’ll either want 6 mill x 3 or 8-8.5 x 8 IMO.

I could see him getting the Reinhart 6.5x3 contract or maybe an 8x8 somewhat of a Stamkos type deal. It'll depend on how flexible our cap situation will be then with the fact that the cap could raise.

Anytime you have the chance to lock up a 1C long term while he’s still in his prime, you gotta do it. I think it would be smart to bridge Robertson and give Hintz the long term deal.

also depends on where the salary cap is in 2 years. gotta look at ch% and not just overall numbers btw. helps paint a better estimate of what the true value of that contract is at todays cap amounts. i dont expect the cap to be below 85m in 2 year though.

Robertson will get a 2 year bridge at 3.1 mil or so. Hintz is going to get 7 at the very least and likely not an 8 year deal. Probably 4 or 5. That gets him to 29 or 30 and he could possibly make one more big contract. I wouldn't even be surprised at a 3 year deal at 7 mil.

Hintz will cost more. Hopefully Klinger costs a little less. JRob will cost more if you want to push it out to five years. Guri will cost more. Kiss Faksa goodbye
