Canucks decline. Player not useful. We have our 3C, why would we give it to Chicago plus assets?

You mean besides the obvious reasons like younger, cost controlled longer, and just ALOT better? CHI declines pretty hard. 57 points vs career high 22 points. There's a small difference there.

You clearly lack a lot of hockey knowledge. Not everything is about points. Dickinson is one of the best defensive centres in the entire league. His specialty is shutdown player who shutdowns teams best lines. He also takes the defensive burden off of Bo Horvat so his line can focus on scoring. You really lack knowledge about the Canucks and role players in the NHL

Honestly I wouldn’t mind this move if we didn’t make the Johnson trade. Since we already have 3+ pretty good centers this is a hard sell though.

I actually agree with you that not everything is about points, but that's where our agreement ends. Eye Test or Stats pick either one and he's very over rated. Benning was just the chump willing to buy an asset coming off a career highs while even those career highs contain negative relative corsi and sub 50% Face off%. I watch the Hawks religiously...the division he's played his entire career in. Whenever he was on the ice...his team was worse off. Is he big and can hit, Yes. BUT what you should be expecting is Jay Beagle...just worse at the dot.

Just because we have center depth doesn't mean we need to shed assets for Dickenson. He's a dime a dozen. Kampf was/is a better defensive center than Dickenson. There's a reason the highest bid was a 3rd round pick for him.

That might be the dumbest take I have ever heard. Dickinson has some of the best shutdown numbers in the league. You’re gonna tell me he is an old Jay Beagle? There’s absolutely no way Dickinson is overrated. He’s underrated if anything, no one ever talks about him or praises him for the work he does. He is a similar player as Danault. You can’t tell me Dickinson is bad without feeling like and idiot

How in the world are you comparing him to Danault?!?! Dickenson has literally ZERO selke votes in his career. There are 500 votes for the Selke...not one time did anyone even place one single 5th place vote for Jason Dickenson in his entire career. You'd think that for one of the best in the league...one other person beside you would think he was at least good enough in any one of his seasons to get at least one 5th place vote. Let's see what his arbitration is. I'm willing to bet it's FAR less than $5.5M
