Obviously this is a bit much no GM does this in 1 trade deadline. But going back think about it ekholm was #1 on the board leading up and granlund was #9. This all could've been done and look at how exciting the future would be if this happened. Plus we would have a better pick in this last draft plus this upcoming one.

Pekka asked not to be traded at the deadline, and I think honouring your franchise player's wishes in that situation is more valuable than a mid-round draft pick.

I can't see WPG giving up Perfetti - even for Ellis.

I'm glad NSH didn't make any of these other deals though. Not a fan of the returns here. Retaining that much on a contract as long as Duchene's isn't feasible, not enough from BOS or FLA, and the Granlund proposal is extremely lopsided.

Yeah, the OP was doing a what could have been AGM about the last trade deadline - from before Rinne's retirement.
