Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

KK's extension would be 3 years given that he needs to be resign this offseason. This is on the assumption that drouin doesnt find a spot in the line up and isnt capable of filling a bottom 6 role, he's moved to edmonton (doesnt need to be edmonton) with some cap retain and a small pick swap to compensate but this is a trade done under the assumption that the team receiving drouin is being compensated by the cap retention and are taking a flyer on drouin bouncing back to a 50-60 point player.

Does the Drouin contract have positive value? I'm doubtful... in any case, Edmonton loaded up on LW's already and doesn't have the cap space to absorb anything over about $1.5M.

Yes he holds value now, this trade would be next offseason if Drouin doesnt find his place in the lineup, as i wrote in the description, habs have a lot of options on the wing right now and i get that he holds value to the organization right now but i think theres a strong possibility that their view on him may change during this season.

fair enough, i just pulled a team off the top of my head that may be a potential trade partner after next season, was more to demonstrate how the trade would look can be to another team.
