Description
Isles need a left defenseman with the trading of Nick Leddy, and Cam Fowler would play a very similar role to Leddy on the second pair with Scott Mayfield. Although I’d love Tarasenko, with rumors pointing to Palmieri and Parise being Islander signings, their would be an odd man out in the Right Wing group if Tarasenko were to be acquired. Likely, Josh Bailey would be sent to St. Louis in return for Tarasenko. Bailey has been an Islander for my whole life, so I won’t willing trade him.

IF we trade Cam Fowler (and the Isles are one of the four teams on his "will accept trade to" list), it will be for at least one player who might conceivably be useful to us, not a bust and a cap dump.

IF we trade Cam Fowler, it will be for a 2022 first.

IF we trade Cam Fowler and retain, it will be for a better pick than an over-the-horizon third.
