Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

this tops at least 4 rosters in the metro.

it's better than philly, columbus, washington, and arguably pittsburgh. new york (x2) and carolina are the real challenges.

this will be a race for placing among pittsburgh, carolina, NYI, NYR, and the devils. i say we come out into the playoffs.

for those concerned about the cap next year:
i'm using subban's contract as a placeholder for the hughes + bratt raises

I'd do the Wood trade immediately. others aren't terrible but no thanks on giving up three more 2nd round picks. Devils continuously trade away 2nds and get burned

thats fair. you could probably do the gaudreau trade with a 3rd instead of a 2nd and it would work. zacha is an enticing piece.

id rather give picks than prospects though esp as we near the contending stage

mostly as the tarasenko rumours begin to truly take form, i think someone like gaudreau, a playmaker, who could really benefit from being on that line. it also gives hughes 2 amazing players who can mentor him as he develops. that first line becomes phenomenal as hughes learns to dictate play with a playmaker (like himself) and a sniper (eventually to be replaced by sharan + holtz)

Show me all the 1st round picks Holland has dealt away... I'll wait.

I like Myles Wood but he's not worth that at all. Besides, Holland just traded for Warren Foegele who is a similar player, with him, Hyman and Nugent-Hopkins on the roster, where would Wood play?

Then there's the cap space issue.

LOL, Wood doesn't even play in the top-6 on the sad-sack Devils roster. Besides, he isn't taking a top-6 LW job away from Hyman or Nugent-Hopkins any time soon.

And Holland's goal is to have the Oilers window open as long as possible, you need your 1st round picks to do that. That's why he hasn't traded any.
