DÉTAILS DE LA CLAUSE: Le joueur soumet une liste de 10 équipes où il refuse d'être échangé.
Great deal for the Rangers. Shesterkin is always a stud in nets for them and I'm happy to see him get paid. From NYR's perspective, I would've tried for a couple more years but this is still fantastic.
Personally I think this is a little too much to give someone with 47 games of NHL experience. I don't think you should be dishing out money and term unless they've played a few seasons (like 100 games).
Interesting. I was expecting essentially either Binningtons first deal as a bridge to another RFA or his current deal ish for term. They settled in the middle on both aav and term.
I think shesterskin wins this deal as he gets a good starters salary (but not stud) but he's a Ufa in his 20s.
Rangers got most of his prime I suppose.
If I were Rangers I'd have rather given him a mil more and tried to make it 6
in net is solid
the top core guys are solid
the rookies are growing
rangers have their enforcers now
im excited to see what happens these next few years
It's rare that a goalies contract looks bad when signed as an RFA before the age of 30 or so. It's the long term deals when they're older that suck
Honestly I was expecting a $6M+ contract at 6-7 years. Getting 5,5 with only 4 years is a bit of a let down, although for that active time frame it's not bad. This contract is set to be followed by a dreadful one, which is the one thing I'd be concerned of if I were a NYR fan.
