If you’re gonna rebuild, you sell now. There’s more downside risk than there is upside reward IMO. The top of the 22 and 23 drafts look great and it allows the kids to fully take over now and hit their primes when we have cap space.

That would be my preference too. IMO keeping them would allow us to be too mediocre for a tank and just pushes the timeline out a year further which isn’t necessary.
I would agree, tank now and move them both if things turn out that way. However, it's a 50/50 route either way.
If we move both now, and tank, we would absolutely be in play for one of Wright, Lambert, or Savoie. But can we really count on the lottery gods to give us that top 3 pick it would take to get any of them? Even with the new lottery rules, we could easily drop out of the top 3 but still be in the top 5 most likely.
If we kept them and allowed them to increase their value and then moved them at the draft, yes we would have a lower draft pick... but... we could also easily move Kaprizov for as high as 4th ova, plus additional assets on top of that, imo. Depending on where his contract falls, Fiala could fetch us anywhere between 7th ova to 15th overall... plus assets.
Either method has it's risks, but both would be profitable if played right. However, neither carries a guarantee. 🤷♂️
