We're letting murphy walk here? bad idea. He's our best defender (I think better than Jones, I hope jones proves me wrong this year)

I completely agree, but I also don’t think the Blackhawks will resign him with Mitchell waiting in the wings. I don’t always do what I think is best for the team in these posts, more what I think is possible.

It's gonna hurt to lose him for nothing after seeing what we could get for him on the trade market. No reason why we couldn't get what risto got for him in a trade, but Stan wants to compete so that won't happen. I still think he could be brought back though. Jones, Murphy, Mitchell is a solid future right side. We have like 7 lefties and realistically msot of them won't pan out as NHLers. More likley that we let some of them walk/trade them than letting murph walk I think (more like I hope)
