You have Froese and Welinski in the line up, this is not a "cup run" team

Canes pass. Skjei might be slightly overpaid but he’s played really well for us and we can’t afford to lose him for such a nothing return.

what would the canes accept

From the flames, not a ton sticks out that’s realistic in a Skjei deal. Mange would be great but I know how unlikely he is to get traded and would require a massive overpayment so don’t think that makes sense for either team.

Generally the canes are looking for an impactful top 6 winger and some more depth scoring from their third line. But if Skjei is part of a package to solve for those areas it opens up a big hole on our second pair and in the PK so doubt he gets moved. More than likely canes will use futures to improve in their middle 6.

Probably Hanafin, which is what causes the issue...

Take welenski out, move benn to the right and put valimaki on the left
