I would have tried to get rid of Hickey in one of the trades. Team looks good though. probably one of the better one's i've seen for the team. LGI

Probably close enough for a player that hasn't played much the last 2 seasons. Bailey should be a good fit in St Louis.
I don't think you get the retention from St Louis however. Might have to pay a 3rd party and make the 2nd conditional on Tarasenko games played.

Blues won't retain on Tarasenko and take on Bailey to give them the same cap hit as they do right now. Makes no sense for them. Blues are better off just retaining and getting Wilde and a 2nd.

Well reports are saying that Bailey has been mentioned in trade talks, so I they could take Bailey. Probably a third party team does the retention, but I didn’t feel like explaining a whole three-team trade.

Fair enough. I just don't see Bailey as a fit for the Blues right now. They have plenty of set up guys as is and need prospects or another strong defenseman.

Yeah I could see something like Bailey/Komarov, Bolduc, and a 2nd, but St. Louis or some other team would have to retain at least 3m since the Isles would be giving up one of their best prospects in Bolduc. Maybe St. Louis gives Detroit or Arizona a 3rd to retain like 3m.
