no way he gets you Barron. He is also 26 and 1 year away from UFA as an RFA with a high QO. As you said a 1 dimensional PP specialist with poor 5v5 results. Teams wont part with top prospects for him.

We will see. Doubt he is moved anyways as I see him as a piece we keep through the rebuild unless some really enticing offer is made. I think he is really going to flourish under Granato and develop his 5v5 game. He has all the tools needed to be an effective top 6 forward: skating, agility, vision, shooting, passing etc. If he gets to play with Cozens on the 2nd line I think he will be deadly

Dont doubt that he can round things out a bit more at his age, but as an Avs fan, his game isnt what helps solve some of thei biggest weaknesses up front, its more of the same to be honest. Good player, good add on paper, but for what his game is at the cost of a top prospect like Barron, doesnt make a tone of sense IMO

Reinhart would have bene the perfect guy for the Avs (especially if Landy walked) They need more of a net front presence guy for that 2nd line.
