If you're Arizona though would you not just want to go out and get one player that could be effective now instead of a depth D and two guys that may never break through?

This isn't even closer to what Dvorak would cost.
Arizona has zero reason to trade Dvorak, they have no one that can replace him right now. He is probably their top player at centre so they would need a package that would be equivalent to acquiring a 1C. He's got a nice contract with term, they don't trade him unless a guy like KK is in the package and that's just the start.

Not a team will give up a player with good potential straight for Dvorak

It will be a 1st + a prospect they would like (I like Poehling personally, could be Ylönen, Struble or Harris)

The biggest issue is trades are never about what a player should cost. Its more about who can find a GM who wants to be dumb

You don't trade a borderline 2C and get the equivalent of a 1C in return. You trade for picks and or prospects who you believe might be ready to assume a similar role at a better time. If you're lucky one of those picks results in a better player than you lost. At worst you hope to break even.

KK straight up for Dvorak makes some sense. Adding on top of that is an easy no.
Poehling and a 1st is pretty good. You get 2 chances to come out of it with a better player. (If your scouts like Poehling and you're confident in their ability to find an NHL caliber player outside the top 10 in the first round.)

Anything else is an overpay. Which is admittedly possible in a bidding war or if someone is desparate, but that's not the starting point.
This is a fair trade that I wouldn't do. It only works for the Habs if Dvorak sees a significant uptick in production outside of Arizona.

I understand he's in a 2C role in Arizona, but come on guys, he plays on the powerplay and never had a 40 pts season!!!

The best I can do is Poehling /Ikonen +2nd. If some team overbid, so be it.

Not touching your big 3, the return we are looking for from Montreal are Guhle, KK and possibly your 1st next year (as it might be high as pointed out). We are probably only getting one of those. For me, I'm most interested in Guhle. Poehling just isn't enough. If he's a B+ prospect why aren't you keeping him? He's a center aswell. Still, he's in every proposal. I'm not a fan and can't see him be one of the big parts in a Dvorak trade.
