I'd consider it if Ekholm had more than one year remaining on his deal, but this is too much for rental Ekholm.

If Ekholm won't re-sign -- I would be ecstatic to get Vilardi from LAK, but I don't think there is potential there unless he agrees to an extension.

For Forsberg, I could see Dubas paying a price like this considering he is likely out of a job if TOR doesn't do any damage in the playoffs. So while it may be an overpay for a rental -- I could still see TOR consider it, especially with the retention.

While I'd hate to lose these players, I think NSH would have an exciting future waiting for them with Askarov, Tolvanen, Tomasion, Glass, Vilardi, Amirov, Farrance, Fabbro, Carrier, Myers and more.

It's too much for only a year of Forsberg. Think dubas is tired of trading 1sts for rentals now and adding on a top 3 prospect in our pool and another decent prospect is too much

Depends on the AAV. Ekholm at $3.75M is a top quality asset. Ekholm at $8.5M, not so much.

Don’t think he’ll demand anywhere close to 8. 5 to 6

Kings will never trade for a 31 year old defenseman, they are building for the future, Ekholm will be traded to a cup contender.
