Still no, JT is worth a 4th. He's a cap dump and you know it. COL wants him gone ASAP

no thanks. i doubt mtl trades drouin. he's gotten over some personal issues that were nagging him for some time. he'll be amazing next year under ducharme. you can have lehkonen though for compher.

he's producing at the same level drouin did last season. if he's a cap dump at $3.5m then what is drouin at $5.5m. try to be unbiased.

seattle didn't even want him for free. they saw more value in fleury than drouin. you should take the 4th.

MTL Doesn't need to move drouin, that's the difference. You're asking for them to move a player and retain salary on him for a player who's around the same kind of production last season

In their careers JT has 109pts in 271Gms which is around .40PPG Career high 32pts over 66gms

Drouin has 232pts in 393 which is around 0.60PPG Career High 53pts over 73gms

Drouins potential to bounce back is worth more then JTs alone

avs don't need to move compher either it's just a trade that addresses both teams need. drouin will be buried in the bottom six in monteal and the habs have one of the weakest center lines ups in the league. habs already tried drouin at center and that failed miserably. habs move him for a guy who can actually play center and avs get someone to try at lw.

lets not act like drouin didn't just have to take time off because of the toxic environment in montreal. the kid needs a change of scenery. he didn't even want to play in the stanley cup finals for montreal.

drouin has had the more productive career but what everyone cares about is what has he done lately. drouin's production is only slightly higher than comphers while being worse defensively and less versatile. not to mention being paid significantly more. i agree that drouins potential to bounce back is higher but so is his chance to disappear again. if he's still in montreal i think his chance to bounce back decreases.

This will never happen lol, theres cheaper and better options at C anyways, JT sucks in the Faceoffs and thats what montreal lost along with the dzone play with danault walking

Compher is overpaid by ~$1m in this market but I don't think he's a capdump.

We'll find out in October how much he's gotten over his personal issues. First sign of pressure and the Montreal media will eat him alive.

Lehkonen for Compher I'd be down with that. Lehkonen's finishing is awful but his analytics and forechecking are nice. I guess Avs just build a super defensive 3rd line with Nichuskin-Jost-Lehkonen.

I didn't say he was.. but Montreal lost Danault so they need to replace what he does, Also Suzuki took 2x as many faceoffs this year against top line guys vs JTs 3rd line guys

what does 1st vs 3rd line have to do with faceoffs.

good luck finding a danault replacement this late in the offseason. they only names out there are kuznetsov, domi, and kerfoot.

theres always trades bud. and you can't replace danault, but you can upgrade offensively there. bozak immediatly comes to mind. as for the defensive mins, suzuki is already proving to be a mini-bergeron (still has ways to go)

trades, huh no kidding.

teams more or less have their rosters set already other than the few players i've mentioned.

if you think the price of compher is high wait till you see the rental price of a center.

doubt that. there will still be trades. ducks have been silent. eichel trade is awaited. habs have 20k in cap space lmao. seattle will still make a few moves. theres been interest in dunn and depending on his price, he could still be moved.
