As far as prospect packages go, we hat is a very good one for Lindholm. I just think CGY is gonna go for it this year and tear it down next.

As an aside, it sure looks like the Fiala era is over so I’m not sure how prudent it is to dea prospects for anything.

You’d have to massively overpay for Lindholm. Even if that’s a fair package I’d imagine it would take more.

Hypothetically, if Fiala settles on a 2 year, let’s just say 6M, what do you think we could expect for a return in a trade for futures? I’m trying to ballpark what would be a fair return for Fiala to a contender if we retain 50% and take a bad cap hit back.

I think you need a 1st and a high level prospect at the least. If some team (looking at NJD) wants to come in now to grab his full rights, I’d add a second. If he’s being walked to UFA at 3 per with retention, you are looking at least at the Coleman return (1st and Nolan Foote).

I also think he only gets 6 on a longer term deal. He might get 5.5 tops in Arb.

Think reinhart deal but better, maybe it’s another 1st added due to cost control and term.
